Independent Living Program Subsidy

The Independent Living Subsidy Program (ILSP) is a monthly allowance to help cover living costs while a youth transitions to independence.

Who’s Eligible For ILSP? ILSP is available until your 21st birthday and is paid directly to you if you’re:

Between the ages of 17-20 (if 17 must have court approval) and already participating in the Independent Living Program (ILP).

How Do I Sign Up? Ask your DCS Caseworker about participating in ILSP.

If the teen has exited foster care and is between 18 and 21 – the Transitional Independent Living program may provide financial assistance if enrolled.
