DCS Young Adult Program – Living Skills Training for Foster Youth 16 to 18

Young Adult Program

The Young Adult Program (YAP) is for youth age 16 to 21 who are currently in foster care to provide assistance with life skills and preparation for independent living.

Entrance to this program is via a DCS Caseworker referral where the youth is assessed within 30 days and provided a Young Adult specialist. They meet with the youth generally three times a month focusing on the specific needs of that youth.
