The First Star – Arizona State University Academy is a FREE program for youth in Foster Care in 8th to 11th grade. The long term college access program aims to provide foster youth the academic support, enrichment, and resources needed to enroll and succeed in college. As part of the group, the student participates in monthly activities on campus and a 3 week summer program living on campus at ASU.

Each year, CASAs can help their high school age youth apply for the program – usually due March 1st. More information about the program and admission requirements can be found HERE. CASA Beverly Short currently has a teen going through the program and would be happy to answer questions.
